UBJ Microfinance Bank, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, was incorporated on the 5th April 1992 as a Community Bank by Late Chief F.A. Ijewere, which is now UBJ Microfinance Bank Limited, in February 2008, and licensed with the sole objective of providing financial services to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and other clients in the lower income cadre by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The Bank commenced operation on the 4th of August 1992 at our former corporate head office located at Central Road, beside the high court, Ubiaja, Edo State. However, in 2022 we relocated to our permanent office by the Mobil filling station, Central Road, Ubiaja, Edo State.
Our financial service business was conceived after a thorough analytical review and study of our immediate environment- Ubiaja and other parts of Edo State in general. In addition, our targeted customers have been petty traders, small shop owners, trade associations, artisans, taxi drivers, market men & women, low-level civil servants, tailors, barbers etc.
